We started 2014 by working hard to get a coursing licence. So far it’s been successful, but we are only halfway there!

Yesterday we had our Lillie tested if she can be a brood bitch. She was complimented for her excellent exterier and flawless character. We have to wait till April to show her at KCHMPP club show, but after that she will officially become a brood bitch!
Over 40% of Aussies suffer from DM when they get old. Because we were curious if our Lillie is affected we decided to test her for it. The results came in the mail today – and we can happily announce that Lillie is DM clear!!! Rebecca Millsaps – you really are fantastic breeder, we can’t thank you enough. Lillie is our little miracle!!!
Our “BISS JBIS MultiJch Marion Ravenwood Gemmells alias Lillie” won 6. place in KCHBO leaderboard for year 2013 from 46 young females.
On Sunday, our Barney went through official Mental test to examine his behaviour in a situation where his nervous system is heavily stressed. He gained astonishing 99 points of 100 possible and he even passed optional fetch test (had to fetch a broom and a coconut)! This is a really great news – it means that by 29th October he will be officially dog for breeding!!!

Today was the D-day for our kennel. We got X-ray results of our “Gemmels Marion Ravenwood” a.k.a. “Lillie”. If the results turned out to be bad, we would have a really expensive pet. It could go either way. LUCKILY for us, she has 100% health!!!

On Sunday we went on a lure coursing event restricted only for Australian Shepherds. Our dogs, Barney to be exact, did especially well! He was lure coursing for the first time ever and he raced his way not only for first place in “adult beginners” category, but he also won the prize for the best red tri dog and the best adult dog (1/19)!! He easily outshined Lillie – she finished in fourth place in “junior beginners” category. Anyway, we had a really great time (there were almost 50 Aussies!) and we are already looking forward for the next event!
After a few months without any show we took our Lillie for a trial hoping she finally unfolds her potential. And because we have the word “ambition” in our motto, we went on a 1200km long trip to Bosnia and Herzegovina to shine in the show there. (more…)
